WHO WE ARE
Wanderer's Way is a globally focused nonprofit foundation working to heal the origins and consequences of trauma and abuse by promoting the integration of an educated, healthy, and balanced physical, mental, and emotional lifestyle through the responsible and ethical use of globally impactful digital technology.
THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
Like the outwardly cascading ripple effect a drop of water has on a larger body, the butterfly effect is the notion that small things can have non-linear impacts on a complex system. The power to change the world exists within the delicate motion of a wing. Imagine yourself with wings. Believe it. The power to transform the world is yours. Now, how will you use the power of your wings?

Status
There is not much to see yet, but work is being done behind the scenes to create Wanderer's Way Foundation. In due time, we hope to offer a variety of trauma, abuse, and grief healing services, programs, and other forms of assistance to the public at no charge.
At Wanderer's Way, we believe that the support, knowledge, and information people need to live better lives should be given freely. We will never charge for access to the information, services, and programs we offer (except travel and lodging to live events). However, donations will always be welcomed and accepted.
There is much to be done before we're ready to begin offering any services or programs. We are taking our time and planning the future carefully. We have every intention to create a strong, stable, and effective organization that will last for generations to come.
Donations to Wanderer's Way are currently not tax deductible, but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. Donations to Wanderer's Way will be tax deductible once the IRS grants us tax exempt status which we expect to achieve in 2024.
You need your nausea. You need your pain. It is a message, and we must listen to the message. All these depressed and anxious people, all over the world—they are giving us a message. They are telling us something has gone wrong with the way we live. We need to stop trying to muffle or silence or pathologize that pain. Instead, we need to listen to it, and honor it. It is only when we listen to it our pain that we can follow it back to its source—and only there, when we can see its true causes, can we begin to overcome it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit this webpage. My name is Jaden Riley (LinkedIn), and I am the founder of the Wanderer's Way Foundation. I am many things, but in the context of Wanderer's Way, I am a dual cancer survivor, an abuse survivor, and a recovering binge alcoholic and self-harmer. I was raised by substance abusing emotionally unavailable parents, viciously bullied as child and I have endured and overcome extreme poverty, decades of suicidal ideation, a fatal drunk driving car accident, child rape, thirteen years of binge alcoholism, multiple years of extreme isolation, clinical depression, obesity (reaching over 271 lbs.), anxiety and panic disorders, and three decades of receiving dangerous, inappropriate, and ineffective psychiatric treatment as a result of misdiagnosis.
In 2019 I reached a level of professional success that many in life strive for, and yet, I couldn't have been unhappier. And so, I quit everything I knew, everything I'd worked so hard to achieve, and everything that provided me with what the world told me I needed in life to be happy, stable, and fulfilled. Except, I was none of those things, and so I walked away from a high-status position and a six-figure salary. Four years later, my world still isn't perfect, far from it, but I am happier and healthier than I have ever been. I no longer suffer any of the mental and emotional maladies that used to plague my life, I am no longer overweight, I have been alcohol-free since April 25, 2013, I am more physically healthy and physically fit than I have ever been since grade school, and I have decided what I want to do with the rest of my life—transform the world for the better, for everyone.
Charity, in its true form, is an expression of unconditional love and is deeply rooted in the community, the preservation of human dignity, truth, justice, freedom, and the genuine well-being of others—absent of greed, and above the acquisition of wealth.
Charity is a gesture of kindness and compassion, yet the concept of charity has somehow been distorted as an element of lack which couldn't be further from the truth. Charity is a catalytic act of love and compassion that anyone can do in the way that feels most comfortable to them, and every single act of charity has the potential to expand exponentially over time to completely transform the world in what's known as the butterfly effect.
We all need help in life. It is not a sign of godliness, wokeness, or enlightenment to preach turning a blind eye, or in any way whatsoever, discouraging a person from performing acts of charity or discouraging others from engaging in willful and mutually uplifting acts of service to others.

Too many of us had poor role models as children. Therefore, we grow up continually gravitating toward unhealthy mentors to help us navigate our life challenges because we don't know the difference between healthy and toxic help. As a result of our upbringing, we lack the necessary skills and experiences to discern what is truly in our best interest properly; therefore, we end up simply accepting whatever help is the most immediately and easily accessible to us. The world needs more healthy and healed role models to emulate.
